Ashers Bakery was established in 1877. We manufacture & wholesale quality bakery produce throughout the UK & have 8 of our own shops and cafes around the Moray Firth area. We have a GM Free bakery with over 100 valued employees.

The business is owned & managed by brothers Alister & George Asher. George is a member of the British Confectioners Association. Alister is a past chairman of the Scottish Bakery Training Group and the SAMB '40 Group'. In October 1999 we launched our range of 3 single malt Whisky Cakes, which won the Scottish Gift of the Year Award 2000. In the same year we were runners-up in the British Baker of the Year Award.

The whisky cakes are also produced under private labels for Macallan, Jenners, The Famous Grouse Experience, Bushmills, Glengoyne Distillery, The House of Commons & Scottish Parliament shops. We are also developing other 'niche' lines such as Italian 'biscotti' and unique gift cakes and welcome any approach from company's wanting bespoke lines made in medium quantities. The fresh bakery lines include bread, rolls, sandwiches, savouries & confectionery with favourites being scotch pies, steak pies, sausage rolls, morning rolls, butteries, cherry rings & pancakes.
